Join Washington STEM at Tableau Software’s new global headquarters for an evening of networking and to learn more about the state of computer science education in Washington. We will share how Washington STEM is working to bring computer science to thousands of students across our state and hear from a senior engineer at Tableau.

Washington STEM prioritizes equity with the goal of providing students, especially those who are underrepresented in STEM industries, with access to high-quality STEM education. Did you know? 

  • Only 11% of Washington students (118,524) have access to state funded computer science learning opportunities.
  • Women earn only 18% of bachelor’s degrees awarded in engineering and computer science.
  • Young women who try AP Computer Science in high school are ten times more likely to major in it in college, and Black and Hispanic students are seven times more likely.
