AWC, Amazon Bound, Chef, Tableau and Zillow are excited to present a facilitated panel discussion taking an intimate look at working at Amazon, Tableau, Chef and Zillow. During this event we will explore how these local, sought-after companies differentiate themselves in how they recruit, what they look for during the interview, how best to prepare for an interview or a role at one of these firms, desired “hard” and “soft” skills, company culture and what it takes to not only be successful as a team member, but also, what will help you rise to the top of the resume pile when seeking a role with one of these companies. This is a very special event, providing an “insider” perspective of each of these companies. Although this is not a traditional “career fair”, we will have recruiters and representatives from the firms with us that evening to share their experiences and discuss open roles.
Tableau will graciously host us at their Fremont headquarters. Vouchers for parking will be provided. This event is capped to the first 50 RSVPs.
*** Light appetizers and beverages graciously provided by Tableau ***

Ayesha Harden — Recruiting Coordinator, Chef
I graduated from Western Oregon University with the intention of becoming a teacher. After college, I decided to join the Peace Corps where I served in Morocco with the Youth Development program. When I returned to the States, I knew helping people was at my core and something I would strive for day to day. From there I began working with children at Kindercare Learning Center as a teacher. After a while, I realized I wanted to help folks in a different way: I wanted to help folks build their futures. I went on to Amazon as a recruiting coordinator where I learned a lot about hiring for a major corporation. I worked on the University Operations Team, interacting with recent and soon-to-be graduates to help them build their careers at Amazon. While at Amazon, I realized that I preferred more personal interactions and in depth conversations with potential candidates over the fast-paced environment. I was soon recruited by Chef Software, were I currently am. This opportunity has been wonderful. I am able to build relationships with folks, learn their goals and help them find careers with Chef!
Jenny Ransom — Senior Recruiter, Tableau
Jenny Ransom is a Senior Recruiter at Tableau. She is passionate about people and finding the right placement for candidates, and she embodies the same traits and core values as Tableau. Jenny first joined Tableau in 2012, and enjoyed the fast-paced pre-IPO start-up environment. Beginning her career as a Recruiting Coordinator during some of the most rapid growth periods, she quickly got to know the business and what drives candidates. She works closely with the business to ensure Tableau is attracting and hiring the right people. She’s built out the Vancouver office, and has hired in cities such as Dublin and Sydney. Jenny’s commitment to hiring goes beyond filling positions – she also mentors team members and helps others in the company find the right career path. Recruiting comes naturally to her, and she couldn’t see herself doing anything else.
Jenny graduated with a Communications degree from the University of Washington.
Sarah Patterson — Diversity Recruiting Program Manager, Zillow Group
Sarah Patterson is a Diversity Recruiting Program Manager at Zillow Group, where she leads the development and growth of projects and programs intended to target and attract diverse candidates.
Previously, Sarah worked as a recruiter at Aerotek and Amazon. After spending time helping other women navigate their way in the recruiting process, she channeled her passion and moved full-time into the Diversity field, where in 2016 she took on the role of diversity recruiting program manager at Amazon. Sarah joined Zillow Group in 2018.
Sarah enjoys rowing, everything University of Michigan (GO BLUE!) and spending time with her husband and two corgis!
